MODERN DAY ENTREPRENEUR,
SOCIAL INNOVATOR, ADVENTURER

Chris Majer is the founder of the Human Potential Project (HP2).  He is a modern day entrepreneur, social innovator, and adventurer who has trekked the wilds of Africa, Alaska, and the Amazon.  He is a Rugby player with a Master Degree who has taught hand-to-hand combat to Marines, performance principles to the Special Forces, and leadership, management, strategy and innovation to the corporate world.

Chris was the principal architect of transformational projects for corporate clients such as AT&T, Cargill, Microsoft, Intel, EDS, Capital One, Amgen, and Allianz Life of North America.

COMPETING FOR THE FUTURE

The world as we know today is quickly moving from the Information Age to what Chris Majer calls the Coordination Age – and companies need to understand and pivot accordingly.  Companies are going to quickly sort out into two categories.

  1. Those who see the future as a canvas for innovation and boldly create the future they desire.
  2. Those who think that business-as-usual is fine and if they wait long enough things will calm down. They believe in the 3 “Don’ts”: Don’t risk. Don’t innovate. Don’t invest.

Doing more of what you already know how to do only harder is likely a strategy for tragedy.  Instead, it is time for a new look at the future. A future that sets-up your company to be competitive in the face of ongoing rapid change.

CHRIS MAJER

THERE IS NO SENSE OF
MEANING
UNLESS THERE IS A
SENSE OF PURPOSE

Chris’ work evolved out of his early days as a competitive rugby player.  Chris began by working exclusively with athletes to isolate and reproduce the elements of consistent winning performance.  His success with individual athletes and teams caught the attention of the military and his firm worked with the Army to design new ways of training soldiers.

Chris’ work with corporate clients is generating remarkable results.   AT&T’s Consumer Products Division went from breakeven to generate a cumulative total of $3 Billion in profits in 48 months.  Capital One stood up a 1,500 person call center in 4 months.  The CEO of Allianz Life perhaps said it best, “ We invested $ 10 million in HP2 and documented a $687 million return.  Any other questions?”

Chris is the author of The Power to Transform. He has been featured in Time, People, Mens Health, Leaders, and Esquire.  He has appeared on the Today ShowCharlie Rose, and the MacNeil/Lehrer Report.

Chris speaks about the future of business and what it takes to dominate your future to Fortune 500 companies, trade groups, associations, civic organizations, business schools and sports teams.

THE WORLD OF TEAMS

Business is a team sport.  Despite the myths of the noble driven founder no one ever built a successful company by themselves.

Here is the reality – building and leading teams is the key competence for the future and any manager who can’t build, lead, and manage teams isn’t going to be a manager for long. It doesn’t matter how much technical skill you have, it’s all about teams.

Executive teams, project teams, leadership teams, management teams; these days you can’t turn around without bumping into the term. The problem is saying we are a team doesn’t make it so. Let’s face it, they don’t teach you how to build teams in business school and in most companies teamwork is a slogan, not a reality. Everyone talks about it – most don't really know how to do it.

The World of Teams is a fast paced look at what it takes to build and lead a real team.
